Postgraduate Diploma in Ayurveda Paediatrics in Child Nutrition

The overall aim of this Postgraduate Diploma is to ensure that the trainee gains adequate knowledge,
clinical acumen, procedural skills, communicative skills and attitudes which will enable him to;
manage maternal and child nutritional states and disease conditions related to nutrition with
Ayurveda treatments. The trainee should also acquire the professional skills to establish and enhance
comprehensive, community based, nutrition oriented and culturally competent coordinated care by
increasing the availability of Ayurveda medical practitioners trained in child nutrition that are able
to meet the needs of target population.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
• Diploma in Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (DAMS)
• Diploma in Siddha Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (DSAMS)
• Completion of one-year internship and has registered under the Ayurvedic
Medical Council,
• Satisfactory completion of one-year work experience acceptable to the
Faculty of Indigenous Medicine
