University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) offers a distance International Master Program in Cybersecurity which covers the knowledge of Network Security and Cybercrime Investigation.
Master of Cybersecurity is a distance International Master Program in Cybersecurity launched in 2018 in collaboration with Asi@Connect TEIN Cooperation Centre and European Commission. The programme covers a broad spectrum of subjects in Network Security and Cybercrime Investigation. Main objective of the programme is to produce graduates who are competent in Cybersecurity related theory and practice with working knowledge to protect IT infrastructures in their organizations. The programme administers online (distance learning) and the students are required to be present at the UCSC for hands-on practical sessions and for the semester examinations. The 1st batch graduated in 2022.
Duration
Two years part-time course of four semesters (15 weeks per semester).
Lectures and Practical
- Tuesday, Thursday, Fridays 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm and Weekends (Saturday) 8.30 am – 5.45 pm.
Entry Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission and/or the University of Colombo
Or
- Any other academic or professional qualification deemed equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree by the Senate of the University of Colombo
Admission
The selection process consists of an IQ test and/or an interview.
