FOUNDATION DIPLOMA IN ARCHITECTURAL STUDIES

The Foundation Diploma in Architectural Studies is a one-year full-time program that cultivates essential design skills, nurtures creativity, and prepares students for a career in architecture.

Introduction to the Course

The foundation course adopts various pedagogical methods, and experienced tutors and visiting practitioners, providing a distinct cross-disciplinary education within an architectural school. In addition to the core design curriculum, students acquire supportive skills in creative expression, IT, graphic design, mathematics, statistics, and socio-cultural understanding related to design. Additionally, their Placement Experience equips them with a rich set of soft skills. This comprehensive toolkit empowers them for their future in architecture.

Entry Criteria
To be eligible for the 1-year full-time Foundation Diploma in Architectural Studies
course at CSA, students must meet the following criteria:

– Possess a minimum of 2 Advanced Level Passes.
– Hold at least credit passes for Ordinary Level Mathematics and English.

– Completed 12-13 years of School Education.

Upon successful completion of the one-year full-time course, students will earn 30 credits, equivalent to 1200 learning hours, qualifying to apply for the Part I Year 1 course in Architecture.
