Focusing on childhood from conception to 14 years, you’ll gain invaluable knowledge and skills to support your ambitions. This degree is for those planning a fulfilling career in a diverse range of sectors including education, social care and health care.You’ll gain a broad view of childhood and explore relevant psychological perspectives. You will also carry out empirical research, equipping you with the skills needed to move into employment in the childhood and psychology sectors. Entry requirements
For students from Sri Lanka
Sri Lankan A/Levels, English language entry requirements are Sri Lankan GCE A-Level: Grade C, IELTS 6.0 with minimum of 5.5 in each component or alternative English language qualification accepted by the University at the appropriate grade Students who do not meet the English language requirements may be required to take a pre-sessional English language (PEAP) course.
For international students
IELTS (Academic only) – 7.0 (or better) (no component lower than 7.0); TOEFL (paper based) – 600 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) – 250 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 5); TOEFL (internet based) – 95 (or better) (with 22 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) – 65 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 65); Cambridge English Scale Scores for FCE, CAE and CPE – Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) and Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE)/ 185 or above. No less than 185 in each skill.
