The Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Resources Technology (BScHons) degree programme offered by the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Animal Science and Export Agriculture, Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka (UWU) is a unique degree programme which accomplishes SLQF Level 06. The degree program was offered by UWU after 3 years of its establishment (2009) and the first batch of students graduated in 2013. The degree focuses on the aquaculture and fishery production, management, sustainable utilization and value addition aspects of aquatic resources. This program emphasizes on the theme of the UWU “Value Addition to National Resources Base”.
